Welcome to the official website of

The Curly Fox Museum

This site is dedicated to the memory of world renowned fiddler Curly Fox. Born Arnim Leroy Fox on November 9, 1910, Curly would pursue a dream to earn respect and recognition for his music. From his roots in Graysville, Tennessee to WSB radio in Atlanta, to the Grand Old Opry and beyond, Curly was known as a first class showman and an highly innovative contributor to the music of his day.

In 1936 Curly met Miss Texas Ruby, top female Country and Western singer of that time. Shortly thereafter, they were married and became one of the leading acts in Country music, playing concert dates and hosting many popular radio and television shows of the day. They enjoyed a stellar career that spanned 25 years. In March of 1963 Miss Texas Ruby would die tragically in a fire that destroyed their trailer home in Nashville. Curly was appearing at the Grand Old Opry that fateful night.

This picture shows Curly (center page) along with many of his contemporaries at the Grand Old Opry.

In his later years Curly performed with The Morgans, playing concert dates around the Southeastern U. S.

Arnim Leroy "Curly" Fox passed away on November 10, 1995. He left a rich legacy that will continue to inspire fans and musicians as long as Country Music is enjoyed, shared and played anywhere.
